Sandlot Solutions and eHealth Initiative to Reveal Key Insights From CIO Survey on Data & Analytics

FORT WORTH, TX -- (Marketwired) -- 08/02/13 -- Sandlot Solutions, a leading healthcare information technology company, will participate in a webinar to take a deeper dive into the results of the Data & Analytics CIO Survey, co-sponsored by eHealth Initiative and the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). The webinar will take place on Tuesday, August 6, at 2 p.m. EDT, and will conclude with a multi-stakeholder reactionary panel to help participants understand how the information discussed impacts every level of healthcare.

The survey results reveal how over 100 Chief Information Officers and other C-level executives use data and analytics within their organizations. In total, 102 organizations responded to the survey, representing an array of healthcare stakeholders including hospitals (37%), integrated delivery networks (33%), academic medical centers (13%) and others.

High-level findings released by eHI in advance of the webinar include:

  • 82% of respondents indicated that bi-directional sharing of clinical and/or patient data with local healthcare organizations is important.
  • 80% of respondents felt that leveraging big data and predictive analytics is important to their organization's strategic plans and priorities.
  • Only 45% felt that their organization has implemented a flexible and scalable plan to adapt to the growing volume, liquidity and availability of electronic healthcare data.

"As the industry continues the shift toward accountable care and other risk-sharing models, it is more important than ever to monitor and measure how data is being used and shared by organizations. We are pleased to partner with eHealth Initiative and share key insights from the new CIO Survey," said Paul Steinichen, Vice President of Solutions Engineering, Sandlot Solutions. "As a solution provider, we are always interested in learning about the challenges and obstacles associated with HIT and its successful implementation. I believe it is through knowledge and best-practice sharing that healthcare's most pressing problems are likely to be solved."

Mark your calendar and register today for an in-depth look at the results of the Data & Analytics CIO Survey.
